Magnesium Project

MHL can provide support in the Production Process of Magnesium. The following steps are involved in:

1. Mining (extraction of raw material)
2. Pre-Beneficiation – Removal of waste rocks
3. Beneficiation (Qualitative separation of Mg grades
4. Calcination - MgCo3 is formed from MgO
5. Final Processing - Processing of MgO

Magnesium is produced in two ways viz:

1. Electrolysis method - Liquid Magnesium is collected from Magnesium Oxide
2. Thermal Reduction of Magnesium Oxide – Reduction of Magnesium Ore by a reactant
